The complete package from one source
Systemkomponenten Miele can provide cleaning solutions for equestrian stables, however large or small:
  • Washer-extractors with simple controls and low water and electricity consumption
  • Special cleaning programmes, specifically designed for different types of textiles
  • Dispensing systems for automatically dosing the correct amount of liquid cleaning agents
  • Tumble dryers for drying and activating reproofing
  • Payment systems for self-service laundry operations
  • Plinth for ergonomic loading and unloading of laundry and easy access to the fluff filter compartment for removing hairs.

Our proposal: Blankets
Miele machines for use in equestrian applications are equipped with special "Blankets" programmes designed for washing numnahs and blankets. These programmes can be adapted to local requirements on site if required.

Depending on the nature of the load, a temperature of 60°C or 30°C can be selected for the main load. The pre-wash consists of two cold rinses followed by a main wash at 40°C or 30°C.

Spin speeds are selectable between 300 rpm and the max. speed applicable on the machine in question in increments of 100 rpm. It is also possible to deactivate spinning.

A special gentle programme has been developed for blankets containing a high percentage of wool.

An additional reproofing programme is also available.

During processing, it is important that buckles are properly covered in order to protect both blankets and the machine itself.

Processing other utensils
Gaiters and bandages are available to protect legs and fetlocks. In showjumping, hooves are protected using bell boots.
Halters made from fabric can also be washed in Miele machines. In this case, Miele recommends the use of mask bags. One bag has the capacity for up to two halters.
Detergent
The use of a detergent which contains neither bleach nor optical brighteners is recommended. Preference should be given to liquid products as they are simpler to use and are easier to dispense precisely. Products with a reduced pH value should be used to wash woollen blankets. It may also be advisable to use products containing enzymes. It is important, though, to ensure that no detergents containing protease are used as this enzyme can damage woollen fibres.
